High school sports are back this fall.
The Lambton Kent Secondary School Athletic Association, covering schools in both the Lambton and St Clair Catholic District School Boards, say there will be some changes this year with COVID protocols in place.
That includes mandatory vaccination for any spectators over the age of 12 at indoor events, as part of Ontario’s vaccine passport policy. However, there is no vaccine mandate for student athletes.
Officials say some time is still needed to put procedures in place for reviewing and verifying vaccination status, so for the time being, fans won’t be allowed at indoor events.
