Some speed limit reductions are coming to East Kent. 
Back in 2016, the Chief of Delaware Nation approached the Municipality, asking for Chatham-Kent roadways located next to Moraviantown be reduced since pedestrians often walk along these roads.
After a traffic study, the Engineering Department will be lowering the speed limit from 80km/hr to 60 on Selton Line from Littlejohn Road to just west of Knoll Road.
The speed limit on a portion of Littlejohn Road will also be reduced.
Improvements will also be made to road signs and warning signs in the area.
