A Windsor woman is facing several charges after being caught whipping down the 401 through Chatham-Kent.

Provincial police stopped a westbound vehicle near Bloomfield Road shortly after 1 o’clock Saturday morning and say the woman behind the wheel failed a roadside breath test.

The 29-year-old was taken to the local detachment for more tests and charged with driving while impaired, speeding, and failing to surrender an insurance card.

The accused was also issued a 90-day license suspension and had her vehicle impounded for seven days.
