The Dresden Jr Kings dropped a tough 5-0 season opener in Wheatley last night. Tonight, Petrolia hosts Mooretown. Drersden will HOST Petrolia for their home opener on Friday night from the Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre.

In the Jr B ranks – the Chatham Maroons are back in Sarnia tonight – 7:10 start at Sarnia Arena.

The Maroons will also be a part of a Jr B and OHL double header on Saturday. Chatham plays LaSalle at Windsor’s WFCU Centre at 2:30, followed by Grayson Ladd of Kent Bridge and the Spitfires hosting Peterborough at 7:05. And we drop the puck on the OHL regular season tonight.

Sudbury and Niagara will tangle in tonight’s only tilt. On Friday night, Sarnia hosts Hamilton and Brett Brochu and the Knights are home to the Petes.

A group of 4 Chatham-Kent women have joined forces to develop a multi-sport league that aims to give back to the community. The league, branded “Play It 4Ward” will donate a minimum of 50% of each registration fee to local charities. You can read more with the Chatham-Kent Sports Network.
