The Chatham Maroons have announced their final pre-camp signing of the off-season, adding goaltender Noah Zeppa. A 17-year-old netminder, Zeppa comes from the Sault Ste Marie Thunderbirds Midget AAA program where he was the league MVP and was drafted by the Greyhounds in the OHL U-18 selection.

Congrats to Port Lambton’s Brendan Seys who won this year’s Maple City Golf Club Championship, including an incredible round of 66. Seys is on scholarship at Wayne State University where he was named to the NCAA Division II PING All-Midwest Region Team for the second time AND the All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference first team, also for the second consecutive year.

Rondeau Yacht Club’s Julia Trinca was one with the water during this year’s annual Erieau and Rondeau sailing regatta. Trinca won the singles title and the doubles championship alongside partner Olivia Carruthers. In the singles division, Hailey Kempe of Erieau Yacht Club was second, while Rondeau’s Clark Manning was third. In doubles, Hailey Kempe and Keaton Kloostra were second behind Trinca and Carruthers, while Lily Babin and Clark Manning came third.

UCC’s Maddy Hathaway and Savannah Emmott are currently overseas, playing rugby. The UCC teammates are enjoying a stay in Ireland, touring while practicing and playing against local squads alongside the Sarnia Saints women’s rugby team. Hathaway and Emmott will visit Belfast, Dublin and Galway on the 10-day trip.
