The Wallaceburg and District Council for the Arts is VERY happy to announce “Dala” will be coming to Wallaceburg on January 19, 2019 at the Jeanne Gordon Theatre.

Amanda Walther and Sheila Carabine have released five albums together. They are known as “Darlings of the Canadian music scene”. Their angelic voices and unique harmony have been described as: “Amanda’s ethereal soprano voice blends seamlessly with Sheila’s velvety alto, creating lush harmonies that have become their trademark”.

They are coming to Wallaceburg after finishing an extensive 2018 North American tour which includes spending December on tour with “John McDermott Family Christmas”. Dala writes songs that are both catchy and insightful. Their music draws upon many influences: The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Bob Dylan.

They are winners of the “2010 Canadian Folk Music Award” for “Vocal Group of the Year” featuring their song “Best Day”. They are also winners of “2010 Toronto Independent Music Awards” for “Best Folk Act” and their album: “Girls from the North Country” was Juno nominated in 2011 for “Roots & Traditional Album of the Year – Group”. Dala is poised to bring their fresh brand of acoustic pop music to both the Wallaceburg and the World.
