#SPOTLIGHT: Danilyon

Local recording artist and bi-lingual Pain Court native, Daniellle Rintjema (Robert) is an EDM / CEDM collaborator and producer.
Using a stage name of Danilyon these days, Dani says she is glorifying God through music, while hoping to help you to feel, smile, and dance.
“Hymn For Her”, the brand new release from Danilyon, is available NOW on all major streaming platforms!
Dani says Hymn for her is a message of faith that hopes to inspire and encourage those facing depression and mental health crises.
A Canadian singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Danilyon first began writing her own music as a child while reaching for solace and comfort after her father was left paralyzed a result of a serious accident. As she honed her craft as a musician and songwriter, she later worked as a music therapist at the Music Therapy Centre in Toronto to assist children on the Autism Spectrum and adults with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
In 2017, Danilyon released her debut single, “Clouds”. It was predominantly featured on Huffington Post and has received support from Spotify being placed on several New Music Friday playlists across the globe including in Canada, Sweden, Norway, Indonesia and more. This caught the attention of Cadence Music Group, A&R Matthew Vlahovich, former lead singer of Young Empires. Danilyon signed to Cadence Music Group for a year, further developing her songwriting and production techniques, working with various producers and writers including Joel Stouffer (Dragonette), Maia Davies (Inside Pocket/Noble Street Studios), Jonathan Li, and Rosanne Baker Thornley and North Easton, Matthew Montour (Boxcar Studios), Reign. She has also been a part of SOCAN Songwriting Mondays.
Danilyon has since also worked to develop her performance with acclaimed vocal coach, Lorraine Lawson. This led to an opportunity to assist with Canadian TV show “The Launch” Season 2. Her passion to perform has also led to opening for US touring artist, Kevin Devine, and a performance at Canadian Music Week.
Danilyon has given back to the music therapy community, performing at the Canadian Music Therapy Trust fund, International March 4 Music Therapy – a charity sponsored by George Stroumboulopoulos. In 2018, her heart to encourage youth in developing their music potential had also led to her mentorship at a youth artist retreat in partnership with Overture for the Arts in Montreal, Canada.
In 2018, Danilyon was the featured artist on Vanrip X Cureton’s single, “Away From You” (supported by Kygo, David Guetta, Martin Garrix). The track was chosen for Spotify EDM playlists such as Time to Dance, and New Music Friday Canada.
Having completed his European/Asian tour, Greek DJ Producer, Acejax released his debut single featuring Danilyon in the fall 2018. The single reached wide-ranging success with 12 + million Spotify streams and counting, being favored especially on Youtube by the Labrant Family one their opening themes, the gaming community’s well-known use of the song by “Fe4rless” from Fortnite, as well as popular makeup tutorial influencers.
In 2019, Danilyon moved from Toronto back to her hometown of Chatham, Ontario. There, she has opened up a private music therapy practice and is committed to developing her music production skills for her upcoming album. She has been selected for the 2022 SOCAN Equity X Production Mentorship program where she looks forward to honing in on her talents as a female producer. She enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends, while serving at her local church. Danilyon’s Christian faith plays a major role in her life and in her music.
Danilyon has now released her first co-produced song entitled “Hymn for Her”, which touches on the topic of mental health as it relates to faith. This song, chosen as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Contest (ISRC) is available now on all major streaming devices.
