The SBB has been playing and competing at a high level since their inception, including advancing to the finals of the International Blues Fest in Memphis, Tennessee.
Three of the band members, guitarist Aug Polowick, drummer Jerry Gee and bassist John Gardiner, were the heart of the extremely popular Southwest Blues Review, and all three have been fixtures on the Chatham-Kent music scene for many years. Vocalist Kimberly Sterling has become a prominent leading woman on the southwestern Ontario scene.
The band performs traditional and contemporary tunes by blues greats Etta James, Tina Turner, Candye Kane, Debbie Davies, Shakura S’Aida as well as original music written by members of the band.
