It’s almost time to spring forward once again.

Daylight Saving Time starts at 2 o’clock Sunday morning as we set our clocks ahead one hour.

Fire officials say the time change also serves as a good reminder to change the batteries in smoke and CO detectors in your home.

Daylight Saving Time runs until November 3rd, when we set the clocks back an hour and revert to Standard Time.

Ontario passed the Time Amendment Act in 2020 to make Daylight Saving Time permanent, however the province still needs both Quebec and New York state to be on board.

Not everyone springs forward, however. Yukon, most of Saskatchewan, and parts of Quebec, Ontario and BC remain on the same time throughout the year.
