This weekend marks the 29th annual Spring Pow Wow on Walpole Island First Nation.

The two-day event includes drumming, dancing, and sinning groups. Vendors will be on hand offering authentic Indigenous cuisine and crafts.

Grand Entries will take place at noon and 6pm on Saturday, and again at noon on Sunday.

Presentations will also be held honouring Residential School and Sixties Scoop survivors, as well as a youth and adult smoke dance exhibition.

The Pow Wow is open to the public and free to attend.
