Municipal officials are looking for residents’ thoughts on the future of Victoria Park in Bothwell.

The plan is to renew the multi-use sports courts in the park on Elm Street West to provide enhanced safety, accessibility, and overall park use.

An online survey has been launched through the Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent website, seeking input to help guide the design to ensure the facility supports active recreation and community priorities.

Officials say the project will include removal of the existing surfaces and installation of new, durable court surfacing with appropriate line markings to support multiple sports. The rehabilitation may also address accessibility improvements, safety features, and drainage, as well as upgrades to court amenities such as fencing, and site finishes.

Next steps include the creation of a detailed design, developed by a consultant and then issued for tender, pending budget approval.
