A changing of the guard at the St Clair Catholic District School Board.
Jen Morrow has been appointed Superintendent of Education and will take over for Lisa Demers, who was recently named the Board’s new Director of Education.
“Jen has made a lasting impact on our schools through her deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success,” Demers said in a news release. “She is a collaborative leader who always puts students first, and we are thrilled to see her step into this role where she will continue to inspire and support staff, students, and families across our system.”
Morrow has more than 20 years of experience in Catholic education and currently serves as System Principal of Special Education for St. Clair Catholic. Among her accomplishments, Morrow led the implementation of innovative programs such as Project Search, which helps students with special education needs transition into competitive employment.
“I am truly honoured and humbled to step into this role as Superintendent of Education,” Morrow said. “Catholic education has been my life’s work, and I am deeply passionate about ensuring that every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. I look forward to continuing to work alongside our incredible staff, students, and families to foster inclusive, faith-filled learning environments where we all can thrive.”
Morrow takes over the Superintendent role on April 1.
