St. Clair College is announcing its contingency plan as the Ontario college faculty strike enters its fourth week.

The following dates have been provided by St. Clair College’s communications department.

  • The College’s drop date (without Academic Penalty) will be moved from November 14, 2017 to a proposed date of December 11, 2017.
  • Classes will be extended to December 22, 2017.
  • The Holiday Break will be from December 25th – January 1st.  The College will be open on December 27th – 30th to access services (e.g. Library, Tutoring and Open Computer Labs).

Due to changes to the academic calendar, contingency plans will support students who have prior travel commitments.  The Contingency Plans will be made available once the work stoppage has concluded.

  • Fall classes will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
  • Exams will be scheduled in January 2018 (actual week to be determined).
  • The January semester will be delayed accordingly but total semester duration will be 14 weeks (includes March Break).
  • March Break (March 12th – March 16th) will continue as planned, with the exception of the Collaborative Nursing program, which is scheduled February 19th – February 23rd.
