St Clair College will share in new government funding to mark the 50th anniversary of the community college system in Ontario.
Deb Matthews, Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Development, has unveiled a $50,000,000 investment to support colleges in undertaking major initiatives and enhancing student learning.
$48,000,000 of that is to support various initiatives and learning enhancements, such as specialized teaching software, lab and shop equipment, and facility retrofits, among other things.
The other $2,000,000 has been earmarked for the Northern Colleges Collaboration, which will improve student access to education at the six public colleges in Northern Ontario.
There are 24 colleges across Ontario, including St Clair College campuses in Chatham and Windsor.
