St Clair College is getting a boost from the upper levels of government.
Provincial and federal dignitaries were at Thames Campus in Chatham yesterday to announce $5.4 million in funding to provide sustainable post-secondary, apprentice, and pre-apprentice programs.
A portion of that money will be directed towards the new National Powerline Training Centre, which will create an additional 10-thousand square foot learning space along with opportunities for skilled trades and technologies.
The rest of the funding has been earmarked for renovations at the college’s main campus in Windsor, including HVAC systems, electrical upgrades, and mechanical repairs.
