St. Clair College BScN students are hoping to hold part of their graduation locally, and they’re organizing a Harry Potter Trivia Night as a fundraiser.
Organizer Katherine McDonald says the Trivia Night is taking place in Chatham next Friday, May 11th at the Thames Campus in Chatham.
“The event is open to everyone. It’s $10 per person, and each team can be from two to six people in size. Everything is going to be Harry Potter-themed, we’ll have 10 rounds of questions, and the questions will get more difficult as we go along,” says McDonald.
Anyone wishing to register can e-mail Katherine at [email protected]. She says there are prizes for the top 3 teams, and they are encouraging everyone to dress up.
McDonald says the money will be going toward their pinning ceremony next month, which is typically held in Windsor. As many students are from the Chatham area, the organizing committee decided to host their own ceremony in Chatham. McDonald says this way, they can stay close to home, while also supporting local businesses.
“It occurs after our graduation. It’s a way for us to be inducted into the nursing field, typically with a gold pin,” McDonald says.
The ceremony is being held at the Retro Suites Hotel next month.
