A flood watch is in effect as officials with the St Clair Region Conservation Authority keep tabs on rainfall amounts across the watershed.

Some areas received as much as 100mm of rain on Wednesday with localized flooding in low-lying areas, mainly in floodplain, agricultural and parkland areas.

Officials say another system will be passing over tonight into early Friday morning.

A reminder to residents that river banks are expected to be slippery with the possibility of minor erosion.
