Some tense moments in Thamesville over the long weekend.
Chatham-Kent Police were called to a Thamesville residence Saturday afternoon, where they found a man had barricaded himself inside. Authorities say the 44-year old was involved in a break-and-enter investigation.
With the possibility that the accused had access to weapons, the police Emergency Response Team was called in.
After several hours of negotiations, the suspect was arrested and the situation resolved without incident.
Authorities say at no point during the situation was there any risk to the public.
