Chatham-Kent’s COVID cases are holding steady today.
Public Health has identified 10 new infections and 10 resolutions, holding the number of active cases steady at 68.
Another outbreak has been taken off the books – Copper Terrace nursing home has been given the all-clear with a total of five linked cases since September 23rd.
There are still three active outbreaks – Kids Connection Daycare, St Ursula Catholic School, and McNaughton Avenue Public School, all in Chatham.
There are five COVID patients in care at the Health Alliance, two of whom are in the ICU and one on a ventilator.
Of the COVID patients being treated, only one has been fully vaccinated.
Beds at CKHA are filling up once again. The intensive care unit is now at 80% capacity, while the hospital’s medical, surgical, and critical care occupancy sits at 95.6%.
