The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority has issued a water safety bulletin.

The 15 mm of rain we received across the region has resulted in substantial loss of snow.

The runoff is leading to increased water levels.

Soils are expected to become saturated leading to ponding and possibly increased erosion.

Riverbanks are expected to be slippery, and residents are warned to avoid slippery banks and cold, swift flowing water.

Children and pets should be kept away from the water.

This remains in effect until Monday January 27th.
