A group of local citizens is encouraging everyone to look on the bright side of life today.
It’s Positivity Day in CK, with a number of businesses, schools, and community groups celebrating the power of positive thinking.
Organizer Darrin Canniff says the goal is to help build Chatham-Kent into an even better place to live and work.
“It’s not just a one day thing,” Canniff says. “We’d love people to start mentally thinking ‘Yes, I need to be a little more positive.’ If the metre in Chatham-Kent goes from 50% positive to 55 or whatever it is, all our lives will be better.”
A number of activities are taking place across Chatham-Kent to mark the day, including a celebration at WDSS this morning, the Coats for Coffee event for Operation Cover Up at the United Way office in Chatham, tonight’s Community Living Wallaceburg baseball game at Kinsmen Park, and a softball game with local fire and police officials at Victor Lauriston School in Chatham, just to name a few.
