Sticks And Pucks Means Big Bucks

A full house at the Chatham Memorial Arena Friday night cheered on some former hockey heroes and local police officers in their 20th annual charity game.

The 2018 NHL Alumni Benefit game was again a huge success.

Former NHL players like John Ogrodnick, and Mark Napier were on the ice against the local crime fighters  to raise money for a great cause.

Chatham-Kent Constable Jason Herder says the cash came rolling in. “It looks like we were just shy of $11,000 dollars that we raised which brings our year to date total, and this being our final event of the 2018 season to just over $30.000 dollars we raised for Special Olympics Ontario”.

Some of the money will also go to the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
