The city of Sarnia and OHL’s Sarnia Sting have reached a new agreement that will not only keep the Sting in town, but also lead to upgrades at the arena.

The new lease agreement to play at the Progressive Auto Sales Arena is for 20 years but renewable every 5 years.

The money from a ticket surcharge will be put into the facility.

It’s a long list of upgrades on the list including a new roof, new boards and glass, and gender neutral dressing rooms.

The hockey club will be in charge of construction.
