It’s a long list of charges for two Walpole Island residents arrested on the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.
On Sunday OPP, along with Oneida Nation Police Department and Munsee Delaware Police Service officers arrested three people on the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.
Police say the three are linked to a stolen car and a replica handgun that was recovered there.
A 35-year-old man and 24-year-old woman, along with a Chippewas man were taken into custody.
The charges include:
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was prohibited or restricted weapon
- Possession of break in instruments
- Possession of an identity document
- Possession of property obtained by crime, over $5000
- Possession of property obtained by crime, under $5000 – three counts
- Transport firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition in a careless manner
- Possession of a schedule I substance – Methamphetamine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and with,
- Possession of a schedule I substance – other drugs, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
The three suspects were held pending a bail hearing, then released.
