Fraud charges have been laid against a Blenheim man, accused of using stolen cheques.
According to Chatham-Kent Police, the investigation was launched in early February following a complaint about a stolen cheque deposited at a bank in Blenheim.
Investigators were able to identify the accused as the account holder and issued a warrant for his arrest.
The 32-year-old suspect turned himself in at police headquarters in Chatham late Wednesday morning. He has now been charged with fraud and possession of stolen property and was released from custody with a future court date.
