A Wallaceburg couple is facing charges after a reported theft went wrong. 
Chatham-Kent Police say earlier this month, a woman reported her van was stolen in Wallaceburg.
Officers found the van partially submerged in the river, and brought the woman in for an interview.
It was found that her boyfriend was the one who pushed it into the water.
She’s facing public mischief charges, and fraud under $5000. The boyfriend was arrested and released with a future court date.
