A crash involving a vehicle stolen from Chatham has landed an Oneida Nation of the Thames woman with charges.
Provincial Police were called out to the First Nations community the afternoon of September 24th following a collision. Authorities say the driver crashed into a parked vehicle then fled the scene before officers arrived, but was found a short distance away.
The 37-year-old woman was arrested and handed over to Middlesex OPP.
She has since been charged with possession of stolen property over $5000, dangerous driving, and failure or refusal to comply with a demand.
The accused has since been released from custody and is set to speak to the charges in court later this month.
