Stolen Vehicle Recovered After Police Chase

Police in Chatham-Kent are looking for suspects after officers became involved in a chase with a stolen vehicle.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said the vehicle was reported stolen from a residence on Dashwheel Line outside of Tilbury on Monday.

An officer spotted the vehicle just after midnight on Tuesday and attempted a traffic stop, however, the driver sped off, forcing the officer to give chase. The pursuit was ultimately called off for public safety reasons, police said.

The vehicle was later found abandoned near Bloomfield Road and 8th Line and has since been returned to the owner.
