A Chatham-Kent Councillor will be weighing in on international trade and challenges facing Canadian communities over the next few days.

Ward Six representative Alysson Storey is taking part in the Annual Conference of the National Association of Counties in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this weekend as part of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities delegation.

F-C-M officials say the conference is part of ongoing efforts south of the border to engage with elected U.S. officials amid the ongoing trade war.

Storey will also be one of the guest speakers at a forum on Sunday, with discussions about the various existing intergovernmental organizations overseeing the Great Lakes region.

More than 2500 delegates are expected to take part in the conference, which runs through Monday.
