Visitors can step back in time this weekend with a special event at Longwoods Road Conservation Area.

The Ska-Nah-Doht Village and Museum is hosting Stories in the Longhouse on Sunday from 1-3pm. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in a winter tradition of storytelling around the fire.

Storyteller Thomas Martel is the Longwoods Road Conservation Area’s community educator, and is of Cayuga and Anishinaabe heritage.

Ska-Na-Doht is an interactive museum that engages the public in the preservation and presentation of local Indigenous history.

Parking at Longwoods Road Conservation Area is $5. Guests are also invited to explore the village and museum, free of charge.
