Cleanup continues today after a winter storm covered Chatham-Kent in snow.
A number of programs and services shut down early yesterday afternoon as the storm ramped up and road conditions deteriorated.
Plows and salters have been working through the night to ensure streets are in decent shape for the morning commute.
However, municipal officials and police warn that some areas may still be quite slick and drivers are urged to use caution.
Residents are also reminded that By-law 178-2019 requires home and business owners outside of downtown cores to clear their sidewalks within 24 hours of snowfall, and deicing within 48 hours.
