It was a dark and stormy night for much of southwestern Ontario with severe thunderstorms ripping through the area.
A tornado warning was issued for a brief time, but high winds and heavy rain caused enough damage on their own.
Entegrus and Hydro One customers in parts of Chatham, Charing Cross, Bothwell, Dresden, Tilbury, and Walpole Island were without power overnight as branches and tree limbs took down power lines.
While some customers should have their lights back on early this morning, others may have to wait until early this afternoon.
