While the competition was swinging for the fences, the Chatham-Kent Barnstormers were shutting them down, all in the name of a good cause.

Chatham-based Pest control company, Enyo Pest Advisors, helped the local IBL team kick off the season by pledging to donate $3.00 from every strikeout at home games during the 2025 season, with proceeds going to support Chatham-Kent Special Olympics, including youth swimming and soccer.

Over the course of the season, Barnstormer pitchers earned 186 strikeouts, raising $558. The staff at Enyo then almost doubled the donation to make it an even $1000.

Officials with Enyo say the strikeout donation will continue next season with a charity or organization to be announced at a later date.
