Provincial Police say almost half a dozen drivers will be finding alternate means of transportation for the next few weeks following a crackdown on stunt driving over the long weekend.

Authorities say among those charged include a 43-year-old from Sarnia who was clocked going more than 55 kilometres an hour over the limit on the 401 near Kenesserie Road on Friday, March 29th. A 39-year-old from Windsor was stopped on the highway late that night going over 175 kilometres an hour near Bloomfield Road.

Three other drivers were arrested on the 401 over the long weekend, all clocked more than 50 kilometres an hour over the limit.

All of the accused were issued a 30 day license suspension and had their vehicle impounded for 14 days.
