Local artists are being invited to take part in an upcoming exhibit celebrating Chatham-Kent’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Submissions are now being accepted for Queer Portraits, a community-focused showcase with submissions showing a meaningful connection to the Chatham‑Kent community; be created from the perspective of, or in allyship with, the 2SLGBTQIA+ community; and portray a specific person(s) or a defining characteristic of that individual.
A three-person jury will then review the submissions and select entries for a showcase in the Chatham Capitol Theatre Rotary Lounge August 21-23.
An information session is being held at the Thames Art Gallery on Saturday, May 2 at 1pm. No registration is required.
The deadline for submissions is 4pm on May 29.
