Families are invited to attend a summer carnival in Ridgetown this week.

The Ridgetown branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library is hosting the carnival at Watson Grove Park on Wednesday.

The event will include carnival games, freezies, and a reptile zoo that will allow families to meet and even touch some of its scaly creatures.

The summer carnival was made possible through support from Dunnco Construction and Friends of the Ridgetown Library, and is part of the TD Summer Reading Club, which helps to increase youth literacy.

The carnival gets underway at 12:30 p.m. and runs until 2:30 p.m.
