Organizers are overwhelmed at the success of this year’s CK Expo, held Saturday at the Bradley Convention Centre.
Organizer Rob Bellamy says the pop culture event has grown substantially since it was first launched six years ago.
“Six year’s ago we had a baby one. We were at the legion and we were happy with about 80 people and we got 160 and we were ecstatic,” says Bellamy. “Then we had our first big one at the Bradley Centre and it’s been onward ever since. this is an event we do for the community, everything else goes to big brothers to big sisters, because we want to make this community as good as we can.”
The event also served as a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters Chatham-Kent, although the exact amount raised hasn’t been released quiet yet.
