A charity group made up of local men has contributed thousands of dollars that will benefit end-of-life care in Chatham-Kent

The group 100 Men Who Care Chatham-Kent has donated $10,600 to support the Chatham-Kent Hospice. Over the summer, the group voted the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation as the deserving charity for its contribution.

A cheque was recently presented to Jodi Maroney, the executive director of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.

“We are honoured to be selected for this donation and I am very grateful to the 100 Men Who Care for their dedication to our community by giving so generously to local services including the Hospice,” said Maroney in a news release. “This gift will be used to provide local families with the care and support they need at end of life.”

The local chapter of 100 Men Who Care is a group of like-minded men who commit to making an immediate, direct and positive effect in the community of Chatham-Kent.
