A local group is helping provide more support for those in need in the community.

100+ Women Who Care Chatham-Kent recently handed over a cheque for $10,900 to Family Service Kent in support of the agency’s Community Support Services program.

Family Service Kent officials say the gift will be used to enhance services for older adults and people with disabilities.

Members of 100 Women Who Care Chatham-Kent meet four times each year to vote on which charitable organization they would like to donate to next. Each member contributes $100 to donation.

Since its formation in 2016, the 100 Women Who Care have donated more than $309,125 to 26 local charities and programs in the community.
