Today is Tampon Tuesday, with the United Way accepting donations of feminine hygiene products.
Residents are encouraged to donate pads, tampons, and cups, as well as other hygiene items such as shampoo and soap. Gift cards and financial contributions can also be dropped off.
Donations will be accepted through a drive-through at 425 McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Pink donation bins will also be located throughout the municipality.
Menstrual products are some of the most requested but under-donated items at foodbanks and outreach programs across Chatham-Kent.
More than 2,500 items were donated during last year’s campaign, which were distributed to 21 community programs and agencies in Chatham-Kent.
