Supporting Women’s Health Through Beauty

A special beauty fundraiser is helping to give a boost to woman struggling with mental illness.

Mary Lou Crowley, President & CEO, CKHAF; Jillian Barnes, Cosmetics Manager, Shoppers Wallaceburg; Jennifer Greenway, Shoppers Chatham Queen Street Location; and Monique Martin, Shoppers Blenheim.

A Beauty Gala at Shoppers Drug Mart stores in Wallaceburg, Blenheim, and Chatham raised $4000 to help support mental health services at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and other priority needs at the hospital.

Meantime, another fundraiser is being held at Shoppers locations across Chatham-Kent on August 10th.

The Look Good Feel Better program teaches female cancer patients beauty techniques to help deal with appearance-related side effects of cancer treatments.
