A Chatham man is facing charges following a bank robbery.
Police were called to the TD Canada Trust on King Street in downtown Chatham shortly after 3 o’clock Friday afternoon.
Investigators say the accused walked into the bank wearing a dark coat with the hood covering his head, and slipped the teller a note demanding money. Cash was exchanged and the man left.
Officers were able to identify the man and, later that evening, the 40-year-old was arrested and charged with robbery. He was held at police headquarters for a bail hearing.
