A Chatham man has been arrested following break-and-enter and theft in Harwich Township.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the break-in at a Talbot Trail address on January 2, where a pick-up truck had been stolen. The vehicle was recovered later that day on King Street in Chatham.

Following an investigation, officers identified a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest. A probation warrant for the accused was issued.

The man was located and arrested on Grand Avenue West on Wednesday at around 1:40 p.m.

The 42-year-old accused is now charged with break-and-enter, possession of stolen property, and failing to comply with a probation order. He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
