A Chatham man is facing charges in connection to a pair of thefts.

Chatham-Kent Police were called to a Grand Avenue West establishment just before 8:30 Thursday morning, and then responded to a St Clair Street Business shortly after 4:30 that afternoon.

With the help of surveillance video, authorities were able to identify a suspect and believe the same man was wanted in both cases.

The accused was tracked down and arrested. Police say he was also wanted on an outstanding warrant relating to a previous probation order.

The 31-year-old is charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
