A local man has been arrested following a break-in and theft in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the break-and-enter on Riverview Drive at around 7 a.m. on Monday.
Video surveillance footage from the building showed a man breaking into an office at around 5:30 a.m. and stealing two laptop computers before fleeing the scene.
Authorities were able to identify a suspect who was later located and arrested.
As a result, a 48-year-old Chatham-Kent man has been charged with one count of break-and-enter to commit an indictable offence. He will answer the charge in court next month.
