Charges have been laid following a pair of break-and-enters in Tilbury over the weekend.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the first break-in at a property on Wheeler Line at around 1 p.m. on Saturday, after someone gained access to the compound by cutting a fence.
A suspect, a 39-year-old Chatham man of no fixed address, was allegedly located inside an abandoned storage unit and was arrested.
Another break-and-enter occurred several hours later at around 11:30 p.m. on Mill Street West. Officers responded to the scene to find a smashed window panel on the southeast side of the building.
While searching the property, police allegedly located a 30-year-old Chatham man sleeping inside, and he was taken into custody.
The suspects in both break-ins have each been charged with break-and-enter to commit an indictable offence. They have since been released from custody with future court dates.
