The Sydenham Field Naturalists (SFN) are celebrating 40 years of volunteer-driven conservation across Chatham-Kent and Lambton County.
Officials say the organization has been working worked tirelessly to protect native biodiversity, restore habitats, and inspire a love for nature through hands-on conservation and education.
To mark this milestone, the Field Naturalists are hosting a 40th Anniversary Banquet on April 12 at Retro Suites Hotel in Chatham. The event will feature a fundraising auction, door prizes, and a chance to learn more about SFN’s ongoing projects. Funds raised will support future conservation efforts, environmental education, and the protection of native biodiversity.
SFN will also reveal its rebranding during the banquet, showcasing a new identity that reflects its evolving role in conservation and community engagement.
