An annual arts scholarship is back for a fourth year.

With a generous donation from Cathy Van Raay-Myers, the Thames Art Gallery is offering a $1000 scholarship to a graduating student from a Chatham-Kent high school who plans to continue their education in the visual arts.

To be eligible for the TAG Scholarship Award, students need to be enrolled in a program studying visual arts, fine arts, film, photography, printmaking, animation, digital media, graphic design, or craft.

The submission deadline is June 2, 2024. Applicants must submit a portfolio of 6-8 artworks and be available for an interview with the Thames Art Gallery curatorial staff. Interviews will take place from June 5 to June 7, 2024.

The recipient of the Scholarship Award will be announced at the reception of “Here I Am: Student Exhibition 2024” at the Thames Art Gallery on June 21.

The scholarship application form and guidelines are available on the Thames Art Gallery website at www.tagartspace.com and www.chatham-kent.ca/TAG. Hard copies of the application are also available at the Thames Art Gallery.
