Local officials will be taking a closer look at municipally-run day camps.
Councillor Brock McGregor raised a motion at Monday night’s council meeting, saying there has been significant feedback from residents with issues concerning the cost of camps and the registration process.
Municipal staff have been tasked with compiling a report looking into operational budgets for Stay N Play camps in 2023 and 24, including costs and revenue by camp location, as well as an overview of the programs being offered and options for fee changes and funding supports to be considered going forward.
A report is expected back before council in November.
