A Chatham woman has been charged after she allegedly tried to punch a police officer.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to an undisclosed address in Chatham on Thursday after a woman refused to leave.
While police were escorting the woman off of the property, she allegedly attempted to punch one of the officers.
The 30-year-old woman is now charged with assaulting a police officer. She was taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.
